What RejectionCon made possible last year
A few real examples from classrooms and why we need YOU!
I wanted to share a few concrete examples of what came out of last year’s RejectionCon.
Through the Rural Tech Fund, this community helped impact 10,522 students across schools in places like Missouri, Iowa, Texas, and New York.
Heck yeah!!!! I’m proud of our MSP community. Here are a few snapshots:
In one classroom, students used Hummingbird robotics kits to build animated projects that responded to inputs like button presses and sound.
One group programmed a simple game where outcomes changed based on randomized logic, complete with visual feedback and movement.
In a different district, younger students worked with micro and physical computing kits, connecting block-based code to real-world actions for the first time.
The details vary from school to school, but the pattern is consistent: when the tools show up, the work gets more interesting.
This didn’t come from a handful of large contributions. It came from a lot of people choosing to take part.
RejectionCon is happening May 26–28 virtual, and every registration goes directly into continuing that work.
If you’ve been considering it, even just showing up makes a difference.
